CNMA Newsletter- December 2023

Message from the President

Dear Community,

The days are short now, and soon the longest night of the year will wrap us in its icy invitation to rest, to gather with those we love, and to do less… We take this time to rejuvenate, to heal, and to reflect. But you can bet your sweet patootie we’ll be ready to jump back into action when the sun is reborn and the spring returns!

Meanwhile, please be sure to welcome our incoming CNMA board members. We can’t wait to advance our CNMA agenda by implementing our passed legislation, growing our continuing education, helping to build our workforce, and advocating for midwifery and for the communities we serve.

Stay healthy, warm, and joyful, and as always, I’m available by email at parisbury@gmail.com and by text at (805) 415-2553.

In the spirit of service and solidarity,

Paris Maloof-Bury, CNM, IBCLC

President, California Nurse-Midwives Association
