We have added a new service line of Nurse Midwife to our Fresno Hospital!

In this role you will work with Physicians and the MCH team to deliver not only babies,

but exceptional quality care. Our Women’s Health population is approximately 600

members in our Fresno Service Area.

This is an exciting time as this role is new to the services we provide to our members!

The position is 24 hours per week; Night shift. Shifts are 12 hours. *This position

requires Saturday and Sunday weekend rotation. We are seeking experienced

Certified Nurse Midwives with 3 or more years of experience in a hospital setting.

Candidate’s will need to be within 30 minutes of our geographical location for potential on-call needs. The minimum qualifications for the position are noted below.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience: Highly desire 3 years CNM experience. Seeking CNM’s with First Assist

(circulate/scrub experience). The CNM’s work in the hospital birthing center.

Education - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

License, Certification, Registration

Current and valid California R.N. license.

California Nurse Midwife certificate and A.C.N.M. certification required by date of hire.

BLS certification required.

Current and valid DEA registration number specific to our practice at Kaiser to be

obtained within one (1) year of hire at midwife's expense.

Must have a Nat'l Provider Identifier (NPI), or obtain an NPI, prior to employment start

date.

Additional Requirements:

Demonstrated ability to work in teams and have effective communications and listening skills. Demonstrated understanding of all regulatory requirements and legal consequences of midwifery care. Demonstrate a track record of following the precautionary and preventive measures in giving patient care. Proven ability to exercise professional prerogatives based on sound clinical judgment. Must be able to work in a Labor/Management Partnership environment.
